Adding administrators is a continuity measure, not a repair for a restricted personal account or BM. Keep one verified backup while the BM is healthy; once a restriction appears, stop adding people to “fix” it.
Admin access is not account health
An admin role grants business access. It does not prove that a personal account can log in, use advertising features or that the BM itself is unrestricted.
Add a backup before an incident
When the BM and existing access are normal, assign a trusted owner the minimum required assets and verify that the invitation, role and asset visibility are correct. Do not make broad control the shortcut for a missing asset.
Read the actual result
| Result | Likely meaning | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Invitation pending | Authorization incomplete | Check identity and target BM; do not resend repeatedly |
| Person in BM but asset missing | Asset not assigned | Add only the required asset access |
| Personal ad capability restricted | Personal business restriction | Preserve wording and pause changes |
| BM restricted or verification required | BM-layer state | Asset owner handles the BM path |
Why adding people after an incident confuses the record
It changes who can enter the BM, who can see assets and who performed each action. Freeze new admins and expanded permissions until the first failing object and time are clear.
Use a defined batch scope
Before a batch, document the target BM, primary owner, verified backup and required assets. Do not submit credentials or payment details through the website.
See Facebook BM workflow automation for the batch sequence, or product contact to discuss an existing authorized workflow. For a 2FA prompt, see required BM 2FA; for scope identification, see which Facebook object is restricted.
